Lonely Characters (Song Of The Day)

I had previously mentioned sharing songs that help me when writing or make me think of specific characters. Today I've been listening to Scared To Be Lonely (Medasin Remix) by Martin Garrix & Dua Lipa while I've been working on a chapter for the new novel I'm working on. The song brings up a good point about how sometimes we settle for certain people because we don't want to be alone. It reminded me of Claire from my trilogy series. She spent a lot of her youth trying to fill up a void inside her with meaningless relationships, but by the third novel I think we see how much progress she's made as a person to give herself more respect and care by being selective with the company she keeps. Claire's character in my eyes has always shown a good example of being knocked down and misunderstood by people, but not letting it completely turn her cold. She tries to redeem herself by becoming a better person and learning to properly respect herself which is something I think we should all take note of. This song has so many remixes of it but this one is a bit more relaxed compared to the others making it perfect for writing a chapter that has some serious topics between all the fun moments in it.
